Good Morning, Players.

We promise to pull back on the poetry inspired challenges, but this morning we’re making one more exception to honor an important holiday:

We’ll start:

Today we must ask you for poems /
as a game you can play in your homes. /
So research the facts /
and rhyme them you hacks /
while we go imbibe jeroboams.

Over the next 24 hours, we need at least 350 players to help us celebrate May 12th with an original limerick about any of today’s other obscure holidays or historical events.

You’ll find a lot of options to work with on today’s Wikipedia page, but here are a few possibilities:

  • International Nurse’s Day

  • National Odometer Day

  • George Carlin’s Birthday

  • Tony Hawk’s Birthday

  • National Anthony Day

And players: we know the history of limericks as well as you do, but we’re guests here on Kickstarter… so let’s opt for innuendo over NSFW entries, hmm?
