CHALLENGE 129:
NAME A LOT OF NUMBERS

INSTRUCTIONS

Good Afternoon, Players.

You’ve now put your stamp on almost every element of Game Changer: Home Edition. You’ve submitted over 5000 possible THINGS, and over 2000 possible SAM SAYS challenges.

Now, we’re going to name a number: 500.

That means we need at least 500 PLAYERS to submit interesting, meaningful “Name A Number” challenges.

As always, to help optimize your suggestions, we’ve got a few guidelines from Sam’s co-designer, Joshua Balvin, on what makes a great NAME A NUMBER challenge:

1. Think about the numbers players are likely to bid.

For low number cards, expect bids between 1 and 30. For medium, it’ll be somewhere between 31 to 69. High bids may be 70 and above. (We don’t recommend bidding, or proposing challenges, for numbers over 100.) With those numbers in mind, focus on challenges that are actually possible to achieve. (Don’t worry too much, though: if you’ve got a great suggestion, Joshua will tweak the difficulty to help get it right.)

2. Focus on challenges that are fun(ny) to watch.

Part of what makes a great NAME A NUMBER challenge is how fun it is to watch another player attempt – and potentially fail – the challenge. An impossible challenge isn’t fun to attempt or to watch, so focus more on creativity than sadism. And remember: you could end up on the receiving end of your suggestion, so make sure it’s something you would have fun trying to do!

Got all that?
